This series will provide concise books on cutting edge topics in electronics for biomedical sciences and healthcare. The books are targeted for graduate students and professionals with an engineering background, especially in electrical and biomedical engineering.  The books will address the mutual needs of cross-disciplinary education between the engineering and the biomedical communities, as well as a general audience with a technical background.
Biomedicine is the area where the impact of electronics, sensors, and micro technology is expected to produce the most radical changes and improvements in our lives. The emerging trends in these multidisciplinary domains that will be presented include:

  • analog circuits
  • new sensing technologies
  • microfabrication
  • point-of-care and portable diagnostics
  • wearables and implantable devices
  • large-area and flexible technologies
  • electromagnetic radiation in healthcare from mm-wave radio to gamma rays
  • embedded systems and processing
  • neuromorphic technologies
  • robotics and machine learning in medicine
