Greetings from AEE World 2022!
Our latest travels brought us to AEE World 2022! At the event, we heard Bill Kent, the Executive Director of AEE, deliver a keynote on how AEE has created a lasting impact in its first 45 years. We were excited to hear Mary Robinson, the First Woman President of Ireland and current President of the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice, discuss a Sustainable Future for all. Dr. Fotouh Al-Ragom, President of AEE, shared her remarkable journey from getting started in Energy Engineering to becoming the president of AEE. These were just a few of the speakers we were able to hear.
We spent the majority of our time exhibiting at the AEE World Expo. We were privileged to meet hundreds of AEE Members, Leaders, Trainers, Students, and Researchers at the Expo. In addition to the great speakers, we sat in on several discussions, including one with the AEE Corporate Members. Throughout the event, we discussed our top-selling Energy titles, the forthcoming AEE Official Press, how to become an author, and the AEE Digital Library!
During the Expo, we held an Author Meet and Greet. Four fabulous River Publishers authors spent up to an hour each talking to attendees, answering questions, and passing on sage advice.
The authors showcased were:
Bobby Rauf, Electrical Engineering for Non-Electrical Engineers 3e
Albert Williams, Industrial Energy Systems Handbook
Alden Hathaway, Energy Independence
Connor Molloy, A 'Light" Guide to Energy Savings in Transport
We also attended the AEE Legends in Energy Gala at the World of Coca-Cola. Excellent food, drinks, and colleagues, and we met the Coca-Cola Polar Bear and Charles Barkley!
